Ingredients
For the Koftas
- 350 g Minced meat or another meat of your choice
- 1 Onion chopped
- 3 Garlic cloves finely chopped
- 1/2 TL Turmeric Ground
- 1/2 TL Coriander powder
- 1/2 TL Cumin
- 2-3 EL Coriander leaves chopped
- Vegetable oil
For the sauce
- 400 g Canned tomatoes chopped
- 150-200 g Whipped cream or coconut milk
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 EL Ginger Freshly grated
- 1 TL Turmeric
- 1 EL Garam Masala
- Olive oil
Instructions
For the balls
- Mix the meat with all the other ingredients for the koftas. Shape into small balls.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the balls in it. Then set aside
For the sauce
- Sauté the onion and ginger lightly in oil, add the turmeric and garam masala.
- Add the tinned tomatoes and stir well.
- Add the whipped cream/coconut milk and cook the balls.
- Switch back to a medium heat setting. Cover the saucepan/pan.
- Turn the balls from time to time and cook for about 10 minutes.
- To serve, take a deep plate and arrange the sauce and koftas on it. Serve with rice or naan.
