Organic Tellicherry pepper
This particular pepper speciality from India is quite similar to black pepper. However, it is harvested later so that it is almost ripe and already slowly turns orange to red. This is why it is sometimes called late harvest pepper and the grains are slightly larger than those of black pepper. It is then fermented with the pulp and dried, which also gives it its special aroma.
