White panko breadcrumbs
Panko breadcrumbs are the Japanese version of European breadcrumbs. These panko breadcrumbs are made from a special white bread without a crust and are therefore particularly light in colour. They are also coarser than conventional breadcrumbs and thus become particularly crispy. Panko is used in Japan for tonkatus and kushikatsu, for example, but is also used for breading, especially in top European gastronomy.
