As a bath additive: The Kombu algae can be used as a bath additive by soaking approx. 30g of algae in warm bath water for approx. 3 minutes. Bathe for 15 to 20 minutes and relax.
Preparation: In Japan and other countries, kombu seaweed is used for the preparation of dashi, for example. Dashi is one of the most important basic products in Japanese cuisine and just as important as the various stocks in European cuisine. To prepare a classic dashi, mix the kombu seaweed with cold water and heat slowly. Then add the bonito flakes and let them steep for about 15 minutes. It is important that the dashi never boils. Pour everything through a sieve and use it to prepare sauces, soups etc. such as miso soup.
Was ist Kombu?
