Panko Brösel sind die japanische Variante von Paniermehl bzw. Semmelbrösel. Sie sind gröber und besonders knusprig und werden klassisch für Tonkatsu (japanisches Schnitzel) oder Kushikatsu (panierte Spieße) vewendet. Dieses spezielle Panko ist ausschließlich aus Reis hergestellt und daher extrem hell. Es ist außerordentlich knusprig und nebenbei auch noch komplett frei von Weizen etc.
